It's my nephew Currie's First Birthday and his parents got him a Smash Cake... It didn't really get smashed so the adults ate it. I happened to have a camera (I usually do) so I decided to record the fun. Enjoy!

There's a lot of reverb in my living room and I don't always have the time or budget to rent a sound booth. I decided to make some foam sound panels to dampen the reverb. There's a before and after with the RODE NT1 recorded through a Sound Devices MixPre-6 at the end. Enjoy!

We spend an afternoon at the Maplewood pool. For soome reason the GoPro reverted to 60fps after an update so I uploaded it that way.

My brother and I unbox the Sound Devices MixPre-3, drink some bourbon and offer our initial impressions vs Zoom H6. All the levels were eyeballed on either device and then put into the video unedited, unprocessed and unaltered other than making them stereo tracks instead of mono. We mostly relied on the RODE M5 microphones because they're a matched pair and the only mics we have duplicates of. ...

I just got back from filming Ashley Harwood turning of the Barolo Table spindle for Goebel & Co Furniture in Charleston. Here's a sneak peak of some of the footage.

RX10's high frame rate feature, with the ability to shoot at 40x super slow motion. HFR mode includes 240p, 480p, and 960p at XAVC S 1080p. Shooting in HFR must be at a minimum of ISO 800. I rented an FS5 to test out on a shoot and decided to get some at the zoo footage with it. So far I like it a lot but I'm unsure if it's worth the price of admission. I will work on compling a full review over the weekend. Shot with the Sony 24-240 in Cine 1 Pro picture profile and graded wiht Film Convert. Enjoy this for now.
